Smilecity is still operating well and here is my latest payment proof. This, my 19th payment is for $20.00 New Zealand dollars and is the minimum you need in your account for a withdrawal. Getting to the minimum $20.00 is not as much of a problem as it used to be. Even though the referral system has been all but removed (Pureprofiles is a much better option if you can direct referrals to their site), There are still many opportunities for surveys and Smilecity still makes a decent supplement to your earnings.
Payments are instant into your PayPal account adn Smilecity is free to join with no strings attached.

Got a massive boost this month due to pureprofile paying me out for a good number of referrals that they had forgotten to pay me for over the past couple of months. Looks really good on the graph, but not expecting the spike to stay next month.

Total – $89.96NZD

- Total earning: $131.20

For the past 4 months or so I had been promoting Pureprofile as a most excellent survey site. On of the best things about this site was the referral program. You can earn $2.00 for every person that signs up to the site through your referral link.
But for some reason, I had been sending a fair bit of traffic their way and had not seen any rewards. Could it be that no one that I sent to Pureprofile had signed up to get paid doing surveys for them?
Seemed unlikely, so I emailed them after checking my referral link and asked if there was some problem. Turned out there was. None of the referrals had been processed.
The staff quickly remedied the situation and I got quite the nice payment from them as you will see in my next earning update.
So, if something doesn’t seem right and you are not getting paid what you think you should be, first check that you have everything correct, then contact help to politely asking if there are any problems. Worked for me.

Here is my most recent payment from the excellent paid survey site, Pureprofile. This site disappeared and became inactive for a time before updating and returning to become one of my favorite survey sites, earlier this year.
With one of the nicest looking and easy to use survey feed across all of the sites I use, Pureprofile has a decent amount of surveys and even some mini tasks, that pay very reasonably.
If you are looking to add to the online surveys you already do or want to start earning money online doing surveys pureprofile is among the best available to us living in New Zealand.

Despite being offline for 2 weeks, I have continued earning well over October. A new advertiser helped even out the downtime and I ending up earning slightly more than I did last month. below is the break down.
Total – $1.62USD = $2.22NZD (approx)
Total – $8.38NZD
Bitcoin – $2.04NZD
Affiliate advertising – $51.89NZD
site hosting – $17.07NZD
- Total earning: $64.53
- Payments received: $15.00
- Total –> $64.53 – $17.07(hosting) = -$47.46NZD earned
Here is another $15.00 payment received from Opini. On time and with no problems, I am happy to say that this site is still around and paying honestly. Opini is a strange one among the survey sites that I use, it has a relatively simple interface which is a far cry from the smilecity/myopinion clone sites and much less surveys. The surveys that do become available tend to be easier and pay very fairly for the content you provide. The low minimum cash out balance of $15.00 makes up for any shortcomings however and I am seeing payments more and more often.

My earning this month are almost exactly the same as last month. I am fairly happy with the way things have stabilized at this level of earning, it is about where I expected to be. I will try to continue to maintain this level for the next couple of months, then aim for doubling my earnings over the next year!
Total – $3.14USD = $4.31NZD (approx)
Total – $15.75NZD
Bitcoin – $1.33NZD
Affiliate advertising – $40.00NZD
site hosting – $17.07NZD
- Total earning: $61.39
- Payments received: $45.00
- Total –> $61.39 – $17.07(hosting) = -$44.32NZD earned
Here is my latest payment from MyOpinions. Another $20.00 to add to the tally. Has only been 2 months since my last payment meaning that currently I am averaging $10.00 per month from this site alone.
MyOpinions is a clone site of Smilecity which is not surprising as they are run by the same company. For some reason, I seem to get more survey opportunities from MyOpinions though this might not be the case for you. It is totally free to join, and as you can see, this site is paying on time. I got this payment instantly after my request. You have nothing to lose so click the banner below, join and have a look around.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn extra money online, but may not be for those of you starting out. If you have followed my posts regarding earning extra money for free and now have a good website with some decent traffic flowing into it, it might be time to start trying to sell your traffic products and enjoying a kick back from the sales.
This is what affiliate marketing is. Quite simply, you direct buyers to a product and the producer gives you a commission for setting up the sale. many companies are happy to work on with this model and some ‘affiliate networks’ are set up with the sole intention of bringing advertisers and sellers together. One of these networks that I personally have used is clickbank. Clickbank has a huge amount of eBook style product on almost any topic that you can sell on your site. After you have signed up and created an account, you are able to choose a product to promote on your site. You will then be given tracking link that will let click bank know that you have sent to traffic to the product and that’s it. It is that easy, there is no need to worry about setting up payments or anything. The seller and clickbank handle all of that. All you need to do is send the traffic (get users to click) through your link or ad and the commission on any sales just arrives in your clickbank account. Amazon also has a very popular affiliate program that works in a similar way, I will leave you to discover more on your own.
Last week Clixsense was hacked and the team over there had to work very hard to make sure that their users were not compromised. It looks as though they have done an excellent job. I would not have even known there had been a problem if they had not made regular announcements telling us what was happening. The only impact on my and most other user account was having to reset the password. I think there was only one day the website was offline. Below is the latest announcement from Clixsense:
“Members we want to keep you informed on what is happening with our recent hack. It has come to our attention that this hacker did get access to our database server for a short period of time. He was able to gain access to this not directly but instead through an old server we were no longer using that had a connection to our database server. (This server has since been terminated).
He was able to copy most if not all of our users table, he ran some SQL code that changed the names on accounts to “hacked account” and deleted many forum posts. He also set user balances to $0.00.
We were able to restore the user balances, forum and many account names. Some of you were asked to fill out your name again as we did not want to restore this from our backup due to the amount of time it would have taken to get back online.
What does this all mean? Simply put, your ClixSense account information is now much more secure. We did a forced password change as a precautionary measure and many of you have already changed your emails as well. If by chance you have used the same password here as other services (such as your email, Paypal or another PTC, etc..) please make sure you change these passwords too.
To say this past week was a bit stressful is an understatement. It has taught us that regardless of what you do to stay secure, it still may not be enough. We are continuing to improve ClixSense security all around and we will continue to keep you updated on any new developments.
Clixsense gets top marks in my book for the efficient and transparent way they handled this small disaster and my trust in them has increased even high than before. If you are looking for a trustworthy paid to click site, Clixsense gets my vote.
